Chris Difford is a singer, songwriter and producer from London. He is mostly known for his role as the founding member of the band Squeeze.
With Squeeze, he has released 18 albums since the 1970s. After the band broke up in 1983, Difford wrote songs for Jools Holland, Elvis Costello and Wet Wet Wet, and later went on to release his debut solo album 'I Didn't Get Where I Am' in 2003. He continued to release four more albums throughout the 2000s, the most recent being 'Chris To… The Mill' in 2017. As well as with Squeeze, he has toured the UK, Europe and the US as a solo performer. Chris Difford gives a songwriting masterclass in London’s Brit School as part of Brits Week with Warchild in February 2019, before heading out on the UK and US Up The Junction Tour in spring.
