Following last week's speculation that Green Day could be set to play a secret show at this weekend's Reading Festival, band frontman Billie Joe Armstrong has now given fans a massive hint via Webstagram, posting a picture of himself on stage accompanied by the caption: "Hello England! Last week Stereoboard reported the online emergence of a 2012 Green Day tour tshirt that has backed-up rumours that the band will indeed perform in Reading and London as part of their 2012 world tour.
Touring in support of their new trilogy album 'Uno!', 'Dos!', and 'Tr!', Green Day confirmed an intimate show at London's Shepherds Bush Empire earlier today. Now, Green Day chat rooms and forums are buzzing with excitement about the prospect of a surprise Green Day appearance at the Reading Festival next Friday. It seems the mysterious caption - "Hello England! What rhymes with shredding ??!!" - could well indicate that the band will make a special guest appearance at this weekend's iconic rock festival.
