Green Day To Perform 'Dookie' And 'American Idiot' In Full On Upcoming The Saviors Tour

Green Day have confirmed they'll perform their albums 'Dookie' and 'American Idiot' in full at each show on their summer stadium tour.
The pop-punk trio's The Saviors Tour will commemorate the 30th anniversary of the former and the 20th anniversary of the latter, as well as celebrate the band's 14th studio album, 'Saviors', which is due out tomorrow (January 19).
The band's bassist, Mike Dirnt, revealed their performance plans in an interview with Rolling Stone. He said:
"What a fuckin’ moment it’s going to be. We’ve never done anything like this before. And there’s a really good chance we’ll never do it again."
The 51-year-old thinks it'll take roughly 90 minutes to run through both records, leaving 35 to 45 minutes "to throw down on other stuff," adding "and production-wise, doing these albums lends itself to some amazing possibilities."
Green Day will kick off The Saviors Tour on May 30 in Spain, before heading across Europe and the UK. The North American leg of the trek will get underway on July 29 in Washington, D.C.
The Smashing Pumpkins, Rancid and The Linda Lindas will support on the North American run, with Nothing But Thieves, The Hives, The Donots, The Interrupters and Maid of Ace featuring on the UK and European leg. Tickets are on sale now.
