Skindred (pictured), Ani Glass, Chroma and The Bug Club are among the acts shortlisted for this year's Welsh Music Prize.
In its 16th year, the award recognises the best in creativity from the growing Welsh music scene, as well as music made by Welsh people around the world, across genres ranging from hip hop, rap and electronic music to folk, rock, punk and pop.
The shortlist features 15 albums that were selected through a voting process by a large panel of jurors from across the Welsh music scene. Check out the shortlist below:

- Art School Girlfriend - Lean In'
- Cerys Hafana - 'Angel'
- Chroma - '25 Forever'
- Dafydd Owain - 'Ymarfer Byw'
- Dewin - 'Dan Y Derwen'
- Gruff Rhys - Dim Probs'
- Gwenifer Raymond - 'Last Night I Heard The Dog Start Bark'
- Local - 'Too Broke To Be This Busy'
- Mari Mathias - 'Cyfrymaidd'
- Skindred - 'You Got This'
- The Bug Club - 'Every Single Muscle'
- The Royston Club - 'Songs For The Spine'
The winner of the £10,000 prize money will be announced at a ceremony at the Donald Gordon Theatre at Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff on October 7. Supported by the Welsh Government via Creative Wales, the ceremony will once again form part of this year's Llais international arts festival and Cardiff City Music Festival, supported by the Welsh Government and Cardiff Council.
Past winners include L E M F R E C K, Rogue Jones, Adwaith, Kelly Lee Owens, Boy Azooga, Deyah, Gruff Rhys, and Gwenno. The 2025 prize went to Cardiff-based producer Don Leisure for his album 'Tyrchu Sain'.
