Motorhead Seal A Deal To Partner With Australian Wine Manufacturers

The legendary Motorhead have partnered with an Australian winery in order to launch a branded red wine for their fans.

The Australian Shiraz has been personally selected by the band and according to motorheadwine.com has “a very fruity aroma with flavours of vanilla, blackberries, plums, eucalyptus and liqorice. It is full-bodied with soft rounded tannins and packs a real punch”. Iconic founding member Lemmy Kilmister also added, “my advice is - approach it with caution. I mean, wine is deceptive, anything can happen”.

The bands new wine is produced by Distorted Beverages who also state that they wish to work with the likes of Rob Zombie, Slayer and Joe Satriani in the near future.

The Chief of Distorted Beverages said, “when the opportunity came about to produce the most iconic of Australian wines, Shiraz; for the band I jumped up and grabbed it. Without knowing exactly how I would pull this small feat off, I set about contacting pretty much everyone I knew in the wine industry and started a voyage of discovery”.

First launched in Sweden and then throughout Europe, the band's Shiraz has finally made its way to Australian shores, coming in at $108 for a case of six.

Although the band have been busy creating wine, they are also set to tour the UK this month.
