A punk tribute album to Motörhead is to be released next month.

'Killed By Deaf - A Punk Tribute To Motörhead' will arrive through BMG Recordings on Halloween (October 31) and comprises 14 covers of classic Motörhead anthems by punk legends and rising acts.

Pennywise tear through Ace Of Spades, Rancid take on Sex and Death, The Bronx cover Over The Top, and Anti-Nowhere League run through Born To Raise Hell. The album's roster also includes Lagwagon, GBH, Murphy’s Law, The Casualties, FEAR, Slaughterhouse and more.

The album closes with a never-before-released 2002 recording that sees punk pioneers The Damned team up with the late Motörhead icon Lemmy for a rendition of their classic track Neat Neat Neat. Lemmy once reflected:

"The punks loved us. The only reason we weren't lumped in with them was because we had long hair—so people assumed we were heavy metal. That was the mindset back then. But plenty of kids heard our music before ever seeing a photo, and they figured we were a punk band."
