John Cleese is an actor, comedian, writer and producer from Weston-super-Mare, England.
He achieved international fame in the late 1960s as a co-founder of the legendary comedy troupe Monty Python, co-writing and starring in their groundbreaking TV sketch show and subsequent feature films. He then went on to create several more iconic British comedies, notably co-creating and starring in the seminal sitcom Fawlty Towers, as well as writing the critically-acclaimed film A Fish Called Wanda and starring as Near-Headless Nick in the Harry Potter franchise and King Harold in the Shrek sequels.
