Stevie Wonder Confirmed For Prince Tribute Concert

Friday, 16 September 2016 Written by Huw Baines

Stevie Wonder has been confirmed to appear at next month’s Prince tribute concert.

He will be joined on the bill by Christina Aguilera, Chaka Khan, John Mayer, Tori Kelly and Morris Day and the Time, plus others, on October 13.

The event is being billed as The Official Prince Tribute: A Celebration of Life and Music and has also been shifted from the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis to the smaller Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Concert organiser L Londell McMillan described the move as a “business and creative decision” to the Associated Press. City Pages report that tickets are on sale at 10am on September 19, with prices starting at $19.99.

Prince died in April at the age of 57.
