Thursday, 24 August 2023 Written by Laura Johnson

An expanded reissue of Prince & The New Power Generation's 1991 album 'Diamonds And Pearls' has been announced by Paisley Park Enterprises and NPG Records, in partnership with Sony Music Entertainment and Warner Records.

The record features the hit singles Gett Off and Cream, as well as the title track, and went multi-platinum in the US and UK. The reissue will be available on October 27 in a number of formats, all of which will feature a remastered version of the album by Prince's original mastering engineer Bernie Grundman.

The Super Deluxe Edition includes 75 tracks across seven CDs, 47 of which are previously unreleased, and 33 of those are studio tracks from Prince's famous Vault.

Among the package's other exclusive extras is a Blu-ray featuring the previously unreleased Live At Glam Slam show from 1991, a 120-page hardback book featuring essays, rare and previously unseen photographs by Randee St. Nicholas, and Prince's handwritten lyrics. Head here for more details and below for the record's trailer.

Prince passed away on April 21, 2016 aged 57.
