MWSOG, Casual Smart and Betsan have been named as the winners of the 2026 Triskel Award.
The three emerging Welsh artists will be presented with the award at this year's Welsh Music Prize ceremony, which is set to take place at the Donald Gordon Theatre at Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff on October 7.
Presented annually to three rising artists, the Triskel Award is supported this year by Musicbox Studios and provides recipients with vital resources and guidance to help develop their careers.
MWSOG (pictured) have had a breakthrough 2026, highlighted by festival performances and new music releases, including their latest single, Gododdin. Casual Smart recently wrapped up a busy summer of festival appearances, including Green Man, and released the single she's my love earlier in the year, while Betsan put out her latest single, Erase It, last month.
The three artists follow 2025's Triskel Award recipients Morn, Nancy Williams and SOURCE, who were recognised at last year's Welsh Music Prize ceremony.
In its 16th year, the Welsh Music Prize recognises the best in creativity from the growing Welsh music scene, as well as music made by Welsh artists around the world, across genres ranging from hip hop, rap and electronic music to folk, rock, punk and pop.
