Hermitude are an Australian Electronic duo featuring Angus Stuart (aka El Gusto) and Luke Dubber (aka Luke Dubs).
The pair had played in bands together since they were teenagers, but when in 2000, Stuart returned from a trip to North America with turntables, Hermitude was born. ‘Imaginary Friends’, was the duo’s first vinyl-only EP release, followed by their debut album, ‘Alleys to Valleys’, released on Elefant Traks. This was followed by ‘Tales of the Drift’ LP ‘Threads’ in 2008. Shortly after this the duo decided to focus on individual projects. A revitalised Hermitude saw an inspirational development in the band’s sound which resulted in 2012s ‘HyperParadise’, winning the Australian Music Prize, the AIR Award for Best Electronic Album, and charting in the Australian Top 40 for the first time. In 2014 the duo toured North America for the first time supporting Rüfüs Du Sol. Their new album, ‘Dark Night, Sweet Light’ was released in 2015.
