The Wedding Present are an English indie-rock outfit hailing from Leeds. They originally formed back in 1985 thanks to frontman and guitarist David Gedge - the band’s only constant member, and only remaining original member. He’s currently joined by drummer Charles Layton, bassist Pepe le Moko, and guitarist Patrick Alexander.

Their debut album ‘George Best’ hit shelves in 1987, and hit #47 in the UK Album charts - paving the way for a number of fairly successful records. Their highest-charting record was 1991’s ‘Seamonsters’, which peaked at #13. Catch them live in the UK in 2013, performing their albums ’George Best’ and ‘The Hit Parade’ in their entirety - celebrating the 25th and 21st ’birthday’ of these albums respectively.
