This Week’s Top Tickets: The Lumineers, Khalid, Tame Impala, The Divine Comedy, Gary Numan, The Darkness, Stereophonics, Elvis In Concert and more

Earlier this month, the Lumineers announced their return with news of a new studio album and accompanying tour dates across the UK and Europe in November. Khalid, meanwhile, has lined up dates for the European leg of his ‘Free Spirit’ Tour, which shares its name with the Texas singer’s new album.

There’s also tour dates announced by the Divine Comedy and the Darkness, with the former hitting the road in October following the release of their 16-track double album, ‘Office Politics’, while the latter have confirmed winter dates in support of their upcoming album, ‘Easter Is Cancelled’. Electro pioneer Gary Numan will celebrate the 40 years in music with his (R)EVOLUTION Tour this autumn and Stereophonics will warm up for their summer dates with shows in Leicester, Hull, and Llandudno.

The Lumineers

The pop-folk quintet will release ‘III’ on September 13, with a UK and European leg of a world tour following in November. The band will call at arenas in Glasgow, Manchester, Dublin and London, where they’ll take over the O2 Arena on November 27 for their biggest show to date. Tickets go on general sale at 9am local time on April 12.

Khalid

Following stops in Europe, the Texan singer will bring his ‘Free Spirit’ World Tour to London’s O2 Arena, Glasgow’s SSE Hydro, the Resorts World Arena in Birmingham, Leeds’ First Direct Arena, 3Arena Dublin and Belfast’s SSE Arena between September 17 and 25. Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday April 12.

Tame Impala

The Kevin Parker-led band, who recently released Patience, will headline London’s O2 Arena on June 8, Blackpool’s Empress Ballroom on June 24 and Dublin’s 3Arena on June 26, alongside their performance at this year’s Glastonbury festival. Tickets go on general sale at 9am on April 12.

The Divine Comedy

This Week’s New Releases: Fischerspooner, Wild Beasts And Superchunk

This week is bonkers busy! Fischerspooner have finally put out ‘Sir’, the follow up to 2009’s ‘Entertainment’, which was co-written and co-produced by R.E.M.’s Michael Stipe and Boots. Wild Beasts have released a live LP, ‘Last Night All My Dreams Came True’, which will be their final output following the announcement of their split in September 2017.

You’ve also got a new one from Superchunk, their first since 2013, which boasts appearances by Katie Crutchfield of Waxahatchee, Magnetic Fields leader Stephin Merritt, A Giant Dog’s Sabrina Ellis, Skylar Gudasz, and David Bazan.
