Caitlin Rose released her debut album ‘Own Side Now’ last week to much excitement, achieving albums of the week in The Sunday Times, The Independent, Independent on Sunday and The Evening Standard, as well as top marks in everywhere from the NME to The Sun and Uncut. Things are kicking off for her on the radio as well, with sessions for Bob Harris on Radio 2 and Marc Riley’s BBC 6 Music show.
‘Shanghai Cigarettes’ with Rayland Baxter on shared vocals serves as another fine example amongst many of Caitlin Rose displaying her joyful wit alongside honky tonk vibes which The Independent compared to some of country music’s greats; “with the wild-child bravura of the Cash/Carter dynasty, her kick-ass band spitting the fluid guitar licks across the motorvating groove with the panache of The Flying Burrito Brothers in their prime”. No less!

Hauschka’s striking third album sees the pianist / composer making ambitious advances on his critically-acclaimed previous work. Stepping out from his established niche as a gifted and engaging ‘prepared’ piano player, he boldly extends his repertoire, resetting his music within a rich orchestral score.
Nine of the album’s twelve tracks feature a 12-piece string and wind ensemble from San Francisco’s Magik*Magik Orchestra, alongside Volker Bertelmann’s own prepared piano. Dynamic, brimming with character and colour, ‘Foreign Landscapes’ retains its author’s distictive musical voice and leads the listener through a beautifully balanced collection, moving from delicate solo piano lyricism to a propulsive, robust minimalism.

Shout Out Louds are back at work. They've had some time off. A six month break to regroup, see other things, places and people. Bebban did so in Los Angeles and Adam in Melbourne. Carl, Ted and Eric remained in Stockholm. And when they got together again they knew that this is what they do, and that this is what they will continue to do.
Adam wrote many songs whilst in Melbourne, in a tiny room, with a little synthesizer, an acoustic guitar and Garageband on his laptop. He passed them on to the others who listened closely from their corners of the world, questioning and challenging him – like a good band should – until the songs that make up 'Work' had all passed the test, made the cut and lived to tell the story...
