I Set My Friends On Fire Announce Second Album, UK Tour Dates & Tickets

Miami experimental rockers I Set My Friends On Fire have announced details of their second album ‘Astral Rejection’, which is due to be released on 20th June through Epitaph Records. The album follows their 2008 debut ‘You Can’t Spell Slaughter Without Laughter’. I Set My Friends On Fire are to tour the UK in September with Californian post-hardcore band A Skylit Drive. Vocalist Matt Mehana founded I Set My Friends On Fire in Miami, Florida in 2007 and signed to Epitaph Records the following year. Drummer and keyboardist Chris Lent joined the band in 2009. The pair worked on ‘Astral Rejection’ with longtime collaborator and Lent’s former From First To Last bandmate Travis Richter.
Speaking about the album, Mehana says: “This time around it felt like we were actually writing a record rather than writing in pieces. It was definitely a new kind of experience because we were writing music that was unlike anything we’d heard before, but that’s been our goal in this band all along… to push the envelope and create something new.”
