New 'Proper' Metallica Album on the way

Following recent collaboration with Lou Reed for ‘Lulu’, which fans have taken a particularly displeasure with, thrash gods Metallica have revealed that a new, Metallica-only album is on the way – and it’s going to be a proper metal album.

While many had been anticipating ‘Lulu’, now that it’s been streamed online for all to hear, the slating has begun. It may be a nice album, but it isn’t a Metallica album – and it was aimed at Metallica fans. So, now they’re all thirsty for the blood of some of heavy thrash metal, James Hetfield and co. will have to deliver – and that’s exactly what they’re planning on doing.

“We’ve been busy writing and recording,” bassist Rob Trujillo. “We’ve got a couple of new songs we have been working on the past couple of weeks. The writing process for the new Metallica album has begun.

“We’ve been in the studio with Rick Rubin, working on a couple of things, and we’re going to be recording during the most of next year.”

Are you satisfied, ‘Tallica fans? We know you’ve had some blips along the way, including ‘Lulu’ and ‘St. Anger’, but will they pull through with the goods this time? Tell us what you think in the comment section below.
