Justin Bieber Paternity Lawsuit Quietly Dropped

Justin Bieber can breathe a sigh of relief today because, after two weeks of controversy following Mariah Yeater’s claims that the Canadian teen superstar was the father of her child, the case has finally been dropped.

Yeater, a fan who attended one of his concerts, took out a court case claiming that Justin Bieber invited her back stage, where they had a “brief” encounter. She went on to say that the episode left her pregnant, with the baby born on July 6th.

Despite Yeater’s lawyers suggesting they had ‘credible evidence’ that Bieber was indeed the father, as well as a couple of days where Bieber did not deny the encounter, the star offered to have a DNA test to prove he wasn’t the father and reassured fans that nothing happened.

He even went on television in the US to tell the audience he had “never met the woman,” and that he’d “just like to say, basically, that none of those allegations are true. I know that I'm going to be a target, but I'm never going to be a victim.

“It's crazy. Every night after the show I'm gone right from the stage right to the car, so it's crazy that some people want to make such false allegations. To set the record straight, none of it is true.”

Now, the case has been quietly thrown out - and it also emerged that Bieber’s lawyers had threatened to sue Yeater prior to the case being dropped.
