Jamaican musician, DJ and producer David Brooks, a.k.a Mavado, has been forced to cancel a UK tour this week after UK border control refused him a VISA.
The series of shows have been put on hold until at least April next year, when Mavado will hopefully be cleared to enter the country and perform at venues in Dunstable, Birmingham, London and Manchester. It is in an odd case, as you’d expect an artist to have secured their VISA before they would even announced shows in the country, but sources close to the singer confirmed that he wouldn’t be making it into Britain.
Tickets for the shows will remain valid and can be used to enter next year’s rescheduled shows, though refunds are available from the point of purchase should you not want to attend next spring’s tour.
