My Life Story have been forced to postpone their forthcoming O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire show.
The gig, originally slated for December 19, has been rearranged for May 31, 2014 after the band's frontman, Jake Shillingford, was ordered by doctors not to sing for three months.
Shillingford struggled with a recurring throat problem during the band's recent tour, causing the cancellation of dates in Brighton and Bristol, but expects to be back 'fighting fit' next year. He said:
“I am so very sorry for having to postpone our 20th anniversary show. After listening to professional advice, I realised that I would not be able to give 100% to the songs, performance and most importantly the fans. With proper rest and a hot water bottle strapped round my neck I’ll be back fighting fit next year.”
