Bat For Lashes Announces New Album 'The Bride' And Trio Of UK Shows

Bat For Lashes will release her new album, 'The Bride', in July.

The follow up to 2012's 'The Haunted Man' is due to arrive on July 1 via Parlophone. 'The Bride' is based around the story of a woman whose fiancé is killed on the way to their wedding and was inspired by a film Natasha Khan wrote and directed called I Do, which will make its debut in April at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival in New York.

'The Bride' album came about due to collaborations with a number of individuals including Simone Felice, Dan Carey, Head and Ben Christophers. The accompanying artwork is also the product of a two year collaboration between Khan and Neil Krug.

Bat For Lashes will play three UK shows in May, during which 'The Bride' will be performed in full. All attendees are invited to wear wedding/formal attire for the occasion. Tickets go on sale at 9.00am on March 18. 

Khan will also play Coachella in April and headline End Of The Road festival in September.
