Deap Vally are an American blues-rock duo from Los Angeles, California, consisting of singer and guitarist Lindsey Troy and drummer Julie Edwards.
Formed in 2011, after meeting at a crochet class, the duo released their debut single, Gonna Make My Own Money, in 2012, which led to them signing with Island Records. They put out their debut album, 'Sistrionix', in 2013, which was followed by ‘Femejism’ in 2016. They also collaborated with The Flaming Lips for a project they called Deap Lips, and released a self-titled LP in 2020. A year later they put out their third LP as Deap Vally, 'Marriage'. In September 2023 the duo announced that they would be breaking up after they released a re-recorded version of 'Sistrionix', which they called 'Sistrionix 2.0', and which is due to arrive in spring 2024. The band have headlined their own shows and tours across the US and UK, as well as playing festivals such as Glastonbury, Latitude, Reading and Leeds, Tramlines and Y Not?.
