HER is a French band from Rennes, originally featuring Victor Solf and Simon Carpentier.
The band released their debut EP, ‘Tape #1’, in 2016, which was followed by ‘Her Tape #2’, in 2017. The second EP was supported with a headline show at London's Omeara in November 2017. The band have headlined their own shows across the UK, and have appeared at festivals such as The Great Escape. In August 2017, founding member Simon Carpentier passed away from a long battle with cancer, leaving the sole remaining half, Solf, to complete the band’s collaborative, full length, self-titled debut album, which went on to arrive in March 2018, via Republic Records. Solf is committed to taking their unique, soul-tinged LP on tour of the world, and has played shows across the UK, the US, Germany, the Netherlands, and in their native France. ext up, they co-headline with none other than Ms Lauryn Hill at the Hollywood Bowl in October 2019.
