Violens Announce Details Of Forthcoming Debut Album 'Amoral'

New York trio, 'Violens' release their stunning debut album 'Amoral' through Static Recital on October 4th.

Ever wondered what would happen if you channelled the mindsets of David Lynch, Stanley Kubrick, Lindsay Anderson into a young, confrontational art-rock musician from Miami with a musical background that merged INXS, Sonic Youth, 60s harmony psyche-pop, thrash metal and Miami Freestyle? Wonder no more: he’d be vocalist Jorge Elbrecht, and what would happen is Violens.

As some of you may already be aware, the band have spent the summer releasing a series of mixtapes and downloads through their official website and Myspace page. Their most recent featured remixes of songs by Delorean and Nite Jewel and unique mash-ups and collaborations with Washed Out and Caroline Polachek (Chairlift) and many more.

Also included was a remix of the ‘Amoral’ track 'Another Strike Restrained' by Sadguitarius (Ben Goldwasser of MGMT). This is the first solo remix from Ben Goldwasser and is still available as a free mp3 from www.violens.net.

This has all culminated in the release of an awesome cover of the Marine Girls track 'He Got The Girl' which fans can stream/ download for free from this Soundcloud page now.
