Prince To Reveal UK Tour Dates During This Sunday's X Factor Grand Final Performance?

The notoriously private pop legend, Prince, will make his UK comeback this weekend, with a performance on ITV's X-Factor 2010 Grand Final show. Its also rumoured that the pint-sized pop-rock icon will be using the appearance to announce a UK tour for 2011.

Details about Prince's performance on the show are being kept tightly under wraps, however reports have suggested that the Grand Final is expected to be the biggest X Factor show ever seen. Having previously been rumoured to appear as a guest judge on the show, covering Dannii Minogue's maternity leave, Prince will fly to London to perform on the show this Sunday evening whilst the Purple Rain star has a break in his current 'Welcome 2 America' tour schedule.

Simon Cowell has always wanted Prince, 52, to appear on X Factor. A source revealed, “Simon's a massive fan and it's a big coup. At the moment the plans are being kept under wraps - but it will make for the biggest X Factor final ever seen. Simon wanted Prince on the show any way possible. An appearance at the final will be fantastic."

Having barely uttered a work to the public for years, Prince prefers to live life out of the spotlight. He released his latest album '20Ten' earlier this year in July, giving the album away free with publications in the UK, France, Belgium and Germany. The star refused to release the album digitally.

Following months of speculation that Prince is to return to the UK's live stage in 2011. Listen out for the possible announcement of a UK Tour during Prince's appearance on Sunday evening's X Factor Grand Final show (Sunday 12th December).

Stereoboard will bring you details of the tour when it is announced.
