Red Bull Bedroom Jam, the live webcast platform for promoting young bands, has added another date to its 2011 summer tour. On the top deck of the 'HMS Hammer' the Red Bull Bedroom Jam Stage will be taking it's maiden voyage down the Thames to the 9th Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards at the Indigo2 on the 13th June 2011.
Joining onboard will be leading metal acts Biohazard, Teserect, Dead Lay Waiting and Black Spiders (pictured) who will be playing the mainstage below deck, the Red Bull Bedroom Jam outdoor stage will see the 8 successful bands from this year's live webcast season rocking out to a crowd of dedicated rock and metal fans.
The nautical gig that will depart from the Tower Millennium Bridge and work it's way down to the O2 Arena, will be the second date in the Red Bull Bedroom Jam 2011 tour that this year will also be heading to Download, Sonisphere, T in the Park, Underage and Hevy Festival.
With Monday (23rd May) being the final day to upload your video to Red Bull Bedroom Jam, there's still a chance for your band to get on the tour. By heading to the Red Bull Bedroom Jam website and uploading your band's video you are in the running to be spending your summer sharing a stage with the biggest stars in rock and ultimately, if crowned champions, walking away with recording time in the Red Bull Studios London and a supporting slot on a Major UK tour!
For your chance to join Biohazard, Black Spiders, Teserect, Dead Lay Waiting and the 8 Red Bull Bedroom Jam finalists aboard the HMS Hammer, head to www.redbullbedroomjam.com where 25 pairs of tickets to the boat party and awards are up for grabs!
There's still time to vote in the Golden Gods. Rob Zombie and Skindred both bag double nominations at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods, whilst the Best UK Band category sees a contest between legends Iron Maiden and contenders to the throne Bullet For My Valentine. A total of nine publically voted for categories, such as ‘Best Live Band’, and nine categories decided upon by the Metal Hammer team, including ‘Best Album’, will be presented at the show.
Toasting the successes of the rock and metal community worldwide, the Golden Gods are favoured for two reasons: the excess and the participation of the fans. Monday 13th June sees icons and fans alike head to London’s IndigO2 for the most raucous awards show in the UK.
