Tickets for Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds' debut shows went onsale this morning and sold out almost immediately.
Tickets for Noel's confirmed shows in Dublin, Edinburgh and London went onsale at 9am today and were snapped-up by fans within six minutes. The shows sold out quicker than those of brother Liam Gallagher's band Beady Eye did when they announced their debut shows last Autumn.
One lucky fan who managed to secure tickets for Noel's Irish show tweeted. "Had almost given up on getting Noel Gallagher tickets until I tried the Usher Hall's own website. Two tickets in the bag. Sweet." However, on the other-hand, some fans were disappointed to see tickets appearing on Ebay almost immediately with prices of up to £250 each.
Leading the new project as a frontman, Noel Gallagher revealed that he is a little nervous of stepping up-front for the first time in his twenty year career.
"I've got to start again from scratch. I'm not a frontman, now I have to be the guy up the front giving it all the jazz hands. I've been in a band with a great frontman, and I was a great guitarist and backing vocalist who chirped in with the odd funny quip. It was perfect. This is just a major pain in the b******s. But I'm getting used to the idea."
Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds kick-off their UK and Irish run of shows on October 23rd. Full details are listed below.
