Ringo Starr Has No Plans To Retire

Ex-Beatles legend Ringo Starr has revealed that he has no plans to retire any time soon, and will keep on going ‘as long as he can hold two sticks’.

71 year-old Starr just released his 16th studio album ‘Ringo 2012’, and is in great form despite his lengthy career and increasing age. But he’s assured his fans he won’t be leaving anytime soon.

“As long as I can hold the sticks, I can play,” He told USA Today. “I want to put a jam band together, where we do a two-minute song and a 40-minute fade like the Grateful Dead. I joke that I'll end up in a blues band and play very, very slow.”

He continued on to praise his wife Barbara Bach, saying she helped increase his longevity.

“There have been bad times, but I don't care how bad it gets as long as it's me and her. I love the woman. She loves me. Some days, I tell her, 'You've got to leave me. I want to leave me'. She says, 'I'll never leave you'. There's nothing better.”
