Ringo Starr Announces 'Crooked Boy' EP With New Single February Sky

Ringo Starr has shared the first single from an upcoming EP.
The upbeat February Sky serves as the first preview of 'Crooked Boy', the former Beatles drummer's fourth consecutive EP, which will arrive as a limited edition marble vinyl on April 20 for Record Store Day, with a digital release following on April 26 and further physical editions on May 31.
It features three other original songs, Gonna Need Someone, Adeline, and the title track. All were written and produced by Linda Perry, then sent to Starr to record vocals, add drums and make his own.
The project came about after Perry approached Starr about producing an entire EP. She previously collaborated on songs from the 83-year-old's 'Change The World' and 'EP3' EPs, released in 2021 and 2022, respectively. Starr commented:
"Linda made me a great EP – she produced it in her studio and then sent me the tracks and I added the drumming and my vocals. February Sky is great - very moody - but since Linda wrote these specifically for me - it of course has to have a positive peace and love element."
A special listening event at Amoeba Music in Hollywood will give fans an opportunity to get a first listen to the entire EP on April 18. Head here for details.
Starr and his All Starr Band will take to the road for shows in Las Vegas, California, Mexico City and Texas this spring. Further dates for the fall are to be announced soon.
