Lawson Release Behind The Scenes Footage Of 'When She Was Mine' Video - Watch Now

After receiving over 500,000 views of their official video for debut single 'When She Was Mine', Lawson have today unveiled behind the scenes footage from their time in LA. Featuring the band getting to grips with expensive cars and heights!
‘When She Was Mine’ was produced by John Shanks, the Grammy Award winning producer of Take That’s albums ‘Beautiful World’ and ‘The Circus’. Despite it’s uplifting vibe, ‘When She Was Mine’ is about a broken heart - Andy Brown, Lawson frontman, wrote the song after finding out that his ex-girlfriend had a new boyfriend. Joining Andy (vox/guitar) in Lawson are Joel Peat (lead guitar), Adam Pitts (drums), and Ryan Fletcher (bass). Respectively from Liverpool, Mansfield, Brighton and Chesterfield, Lawson began life in 2009 when Adam contacted Andy, who had been posting acoustic covers on Youtube to ever increasing views, to say ‘I love what you’re doing, if you ever form a band can I be in it?’ And so they formed a band. Adam contacted his friend Ryan who in turn recruited his music college buddy Joel, and the foursome soon got stuck in, rehearsing and gigging like men possessed.
Fast forward 3 years and Lawson, who signed to Polydor in autumn last year, are formidable live and have built an active and passionate fanbase – they sold out their debut headline tour in January, incredible for a band who have yet to release a single.
Ahead of their debut single release 'When She Was Mine' on May 28th, Lawson are playing the Station Sessions festival at Kings Cross Station, London, tomorrow at 5.30pm.
