Reckless Love Confirm Guests For October London Residency Shows

Reckless Love, the colourful Finnish rockers whose second ‘Animal Attraction’ album was released via Spinefarm Records in the autumn of 2011, have confirmed the line-ups for their four residency shows at the London Barfly in October.

Main support on the band’s headline UK tour will be Cambridge outfit Mallory Knox, currently garnering lots of media attention, with local supports opening the various shows – the exception to this is the London Barfly dates, which will have a different opening act on three of the four nights, with Mallory Knox taking the October 11th spot.

Guests on the other London Barfly outings are as follows:

Oct 4th – UK rock act, Voodoo Six.
Oct 18th – French sleaze rockers, Black Rain.
Oct 25th – Dear Superstar, Manchester hard rock five-piece.

“Four London headline shows in a month!” exclaims Reckless Love front-man Olli Herman, ”and we're gonna make every night a special event...”

Happily, ALL of the above acts are of a similar (party) mind...“We are of course happy to be playing in London again,” exclaim Black Rain, whose new studio album is currently being mixed by legendary producer Jack Douglas (Aerosmith, Slash, Michael Monroe, etc.), “but we are especially happy to be playing alongside Reckless Love. We just love their music and we would be glad to share more gigs with them in France! Be ready for a full f**king blast from the Swedish/French union of rock'n’roll!!”

For Voodoo Six, now putting the finishing touches to a brand new studio album, the show on the 4th is the ideal chance to road-test some of their freshest material...“I’ll be happy to be away from the mixing desk for a night!” laughs V6 bassist and producer Tony Newton, whose in-studio skills can also be heard on the debut ‘This Might Hurt’ album from The Treatment. “We’ve been working really hard on this new record, and we should have some very exciting touring news to announce in the near future...”

Dear Superstar, meanwhile, have headline shows in the pipeline for November, in support of new single and video ‘Change Yesterday’; according to front-man Micky Satiar, “We’ve never played on a bill with Reckless Love before, but we’re very much looking forward to it. We really like their music, and with the 25th being the final night of the UK tour, there should be some serious celebratin’ to be done. We’re happy to play our part!”

To back-up the London shows and the headline UK tour in general, Reckless Love have confirmed the release of a new eight-song mini-album for October 15th via Spinefarm Records.; titled ‘Born To Break Your Heart’, the record features the following tracks:-

1. Born To Break Your Heart (Tim Palmer Mix)
2. Beautiful Bomb (Live)
3. On The Radio (Live)
4. Hot (Live)
5. Push (Outtake from the ‘Animal Attraction’ album)
6. Animal Attraction (Unplugged)
7. The Boys Are Back In Town (Unplugged)
8. One More Time (Unplugged)

Reckless Love frontman Olli Herman explains: “As old school ’80s metal fans, we wanted to put together something we were dying to get from our own idols, in the fashion of G n’ R and ‘Lies’ - a sort of bonus item designed to reveal more of the whole band and its foundations.”
