Joe Banfi To Perform 'Iron' EP Launch London Show Tonight!

Joe Banfi's debut EP, ‘Iron’, is out today on the independent record label Communion. To mark the release, Joe will play a London EP launch show at The Social tomorrow night (Tuesday 25th September) and a Sheffield launch show at Greystones on Wednesday (26th September).

‘Iron’ is available to download from iTunes and physically from Communion Records, whist the video for the EP’s opening track 'Guts and Bones’ is available to watch below.

Produced and nurtured by Communion's Ian Grimble, ‘Iron’ is an emotional, satisfying first listen to this young Northern voice. Fronted by ‘Guts and Bones', a song of great atmosphere and carefully plucked resonance, Joe's voice provides the telling instrument, as it does on all 4 songs showcased on this debut. It concludes (by way of Joe's own interpretation of American folk song and a track made famous by Nirvana, 'Where Did You Sleep Last Night?', and 'See You At Home') on ‘Iron', a song inspired by Cormac McCarthy's beautifully bleak novel The Road, and particularly the yearning from within that comes through survival. It is as eerie as it affecting, and enthuses you to enthuse.

Following the two EP launch shows this week, Joe Banfi will continue to tour the UK throughout October and November.
