Flume Announces January 2013 UK Gig & Tickets

21 year-old Aussie star Flume has announced a January 2013 UK gig, which will precede the UK release of his self-titled debut album the following month.

Flume’s pigeonhole-free,beat-driven debut - out on February 18th here in Britain - has already reached #1 in the Australian iTunes album charts, whilst his singles have topped The Hype Machine and Music Robot charts.

He had his first taste of producing at age 13 from the most unlikely of places - a music production program he found in a cereal box. Fast forward six years and Flume’s distinctive postmodern R&B sounds are uniting the affections of The XX, Four Tet and Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs.

Flume’s first single ‘Sleepless’ featuring - Jezzabell Doran - is a blend of 90’s hip-hop with leftfield dream pop. To date ‘Sleepless’ has received over 1million views on Youtube, spent several weeks at #1 in the iTunes Australia Electronic Charts, and was championed by the like of BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra and 6Music.

Now, Flume has lined-up a rare UK appearance for this coming January that will see him performing in London’s Birthdays on the 24th. Tickets are on sale now and will cost you £5.00 + fees - check below to find tickets through Stereoboard.
