Faith No More have confirmed that they are working on a new album and that a single, Motherfucker, will be released for Record Store Day’s Black Friday event on November 28.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, Bill Gould, the band’s bassist, detailed the independent process for the album, which he is producing and is being recorded at the band’s rehearsal room.
It’ll be released by their own label, Reclamation Records, in April 2015, following up 1997’s ‘Album Of The Year’. Gould told the magazine:
“What I can say is that I think through our experience as musicians over the years, I think what we're doing reflects where we've gone since we made our last record as Faith No More. I think this kicks things up a notch. And I think there's parts that are very powerful and there's parts that have a lot of ‘space’. Everything we do, with our chemistry, the way we play; it's always going to sound like us. It's just what we do, that makes us feel good. Hopefully it doesn't sound like a bunch of 50-year-old men... which we are!”
Faith No More were in the UK back in July, when they opened for Black Sabbath at Hyde Park.
