Jack Off Jill have been forced to cancel their Glasgow show later this month.
The reformed alt-rock troupe were due to kick off a run of UK shows at the Classic Grand on October 17, however, due to doctor's advice, the band have scaled back the short tour to just three dates. A message issued to band's official Facebook page reads:
"PLEASE FORGIVE US GLASGOW!
With one of our members currently under doctor’s care, we’ve been strongly advised to scale back our U.K. dates. Which means, sadly, we’ve had to cancel our gig in Glasgow. But we will not leave you in the lurch! Read on...
For Glasgow ticket holders ONLY:
· Refunds will be processed at point of purchase. You will be automatically refunded if you purchased online. If you purchased in Tickets Scotland or Ripping Records, over the counter, you will need to return your ticket to the shop.
· Glasgow Golden Tickets ARE transferable or refundable! For instructions, please email houseofaddams@gmail.com.
· If you are able to travel to Manchester on 19 October or London Heaven on 23 October (and we hope you are), we have a very special package deal available for Glasgow ticket holders as an apology for our abrupt but necessary cancellation. Please email jackoffjillofficial@gmail.com with Glasgow in the subject.
This is the ONLY show we’ve had to cancel, and no other U.K. shows will be affected. Please accept our apologies – our fans mean so much to us, and we hate to let anyone down. Know that these will be the final Jack Off Jill shows. No future shows are scheduled."
As stated, the band's shows at Manchester's Gorilla, London's Electric Ballroom and Heaven remain unaffected.
