Depeche Mode, Goldfrapp, The Shins, Father John Misty Among Names Confirmed For BBC 6 Music Festival

The line up has been announced for this year’s BBC 6 Music Festival, which will be staged in Glasgow this spring.
The event, which is returning for its fourth staging, will host stages at the Barrowlands, the O2 Academy, St Luke’s and Tramways between March 24 and 26. Details were announced on air by Lauren Laverne this morning.
The opening night’s offering will feature Goldfrapp, the Jesus and Mary Chain, Future Islands, Sparks, Warpaint, Ride, Sleaford Mods, Cate Le Bon and Dutch Uncles.
Saturday, meanwhile, will be split into By Night and By Day offerings. The former will find The Shins, Bonobo, Haley Bonar, The Lemon Twigs, Loyle Carner, Car Seat Headrest, Thundercat, Grandaddy, Songhoy Blues, Honeyblood and Sacred Paws in action, with the latter featuring Edwyn Collins and John Lydon, among others, in conversation alongside music from Sinkane and Temples.
Sunday’s action is again By Day and Night with Father John Misty set to appear alongside the Wedding Present before Depeche Mode, Belle & Sebastian, Whitney, Julia Jacklin, Kadhja Bonet, Forest Swords, Gaika, Stuart Braithwaite (DJ set) and Anna Meredith take over.
