Life have released a new song, Duck Egg Blue.

Unfurling across a gentle acoustic guitar loop, the atmospheric track finds vocalist Mez Green trading his usual rowdy vocal style for a softer approach. It serves as the fourth preview of the band's upcoming third album, 'North East Coastal Town', which is scheduled to arrive on August 19. Green said:

"Duck Egg Blue is a realist's love song. The journey of trying to navigate through each other’s feelings and emotions, the strains of close quarters trapped in a tiny flat, the minutiae of everyday life. The overarching sentiment is that no matter what happens, after all that is said and done, we love each other, and we are there for each other."

Head below to view the accompanying kaleidoscopic video, which focuses on bassist Lydia Palmeria and her girlfriend painting their bedroom. The band added: "The video for Duck Egg Blue is mix of paint and sentiment, of love and frustration, and the process of turning house into home."

Duck Egg Blue will feature on the LP along with the previously unveiled cuts The Drug, Big Moon Lake and Friends Without Names.

Life will embark embark on a UK tour this autumn, following a handful of in-store gigs around the record's release.
