Angel Olsen Teams Up With Sturgill Simpson For New Version Of Big Time

Angel Olsen has shared a reworking of Big Time featuring Sturgill Simpson.
The original song serves as the title track of the singer-songwriter's latest album, which arrived back in June through Jagjaguwar.
The updated, collaborative duet, meanwhile, finds Sturgill contributing guitar, harmonies, and his own vocals to the second verse of the swooping country ballad. The pair first met in 2016 when Olsen released her 'My Woman' LP. She said in a statement:
"It’s crazy to write a song and then watch someone else you really admire sing your words; kinda turns the whole thing on its head. I loved the song already, but hearing Sturgill's take on Big Time made me smile ear to ear, he made it come alive on a different level."
She'll return to the UK and Ireland this autumn as part of a wider European tour, which includes a headline date at London's O2 Academy Brixton on October 18.
