Migos Rapper Takeoff Dies Aged 28

Tuesday, 01 November 2022 Written by Jon Stickler

American rapper Takeoff, real name Kirshnik Khari Ball, has died aged 28.

According to a spokesperson for the Houston Police Department, the Migos star (pictured left) was attending a private party with around 40 people at a bowling alley in Houston, Texas when he was shot and killed, with law officials revealing that someone opened fire during the early hours of Tuesday (November 1).

According to a report by TMZ, Takeoff and fellow Migos member Quavo were at 810 Billiards & Bowling Houston when shots rang out, with the site posting footage of people gathered around Takeoff and calling for help. Takeoff was pronounced dead at the scene. Quavo was unharmed.

Georgia rapper Takeoff was the youngest member of the hip hop trio Migos. Quavo was his uncle, and Offset his cousin. The killing came just hours after Quavo and Offset, under their side project Unc And Phew, dropped a new Halloween-themed video for their track Messy.

Unc And Phew released the album 'Only Built For Infinity Links' in October.
