Brutus have released a new song, Love Won't Hide The Ugliness.
Guided by Stefanie Mannaerts' emotive vocals over pulverizing post-hardcore guitars, it was written during the sessions for the Belgium trio's 2022 album 'Unison Life'. Announcing it, Mannaerts said:
"We are very happy we can release this now, after such a crazy year on the road. Love Won’t Hide The Ugliness has always been one of my favorite songs when we were writing the album. The song is about how love can cloud judgment and make it difficult to remain impartial. It can cause people to blindly follow others and lose their own sense of beauty. In the worst case, it can lead to self-destruction and damage relationships."
Head below to check out the song's accompanying video, which was shot on location in their hometown of Ghent. The song will also be available as a limited 7" with the one-year anniversary vinyl of 'Unison Life', due out on October 21.
Having played Download, 2000trees and ArcTanGent earlier this year, Brutus will tour Europe and the UK in the winter. They've also confirmed a run of North American shows for next spring.
