Public Service Broadcasting have announced a summer show in Halifax.
The British cinematic rock pioneers will headline Live At The Piece Hall on August 23, with support coming from The Big Moon.
They're the 42nd and final headliner to be confirmed for the summer concert series' sprawling 2026 line-up, which is now the UK's biggest outdoor gig series. It was announced earlier today that Grammy-winning Baltimore hardcore band Turnstile will headline the historic venue with a UK exclusive show on August 26.
Other headliners previously announced for the series include Gary Numan, Shed Seven, Madness, Embrace, Paul Weller, Garbage and Skunk Anansie, The Kooks, Ethel Cain, Belle and Sebastian, David Gray, Deacon Blue, James Taylor, The Flaming Lips and The Beta Band, Alex James' Britpop Classical, Opeth, The K's, The Wombats and more.
Public Service Broadcasting will play their biggest headline show to date at London's Alexandra Palace on September 26, where they'll celebrate the "10(+1) year anniversary" of their 2015 second album, 'The Race For Space'. They also have dates scheduled in Asia, Australia and New Zealand for May. Commenting on their new Halifax concert, the band said:
"We’re playing a very special show this 23 August at The Piece Hall, Halifax, and very happy about it we are, too. Support comes from the fantastic The Big Moon. What a treat!
"This is not - repeat not - a northern extension of The Race For Space celebration, but it will nevertheless be full of bells, whistles and nothing but hits (ahem)."
Tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday (February 27). All other dates are on sale.
In 2024 they released their latest studio album, 'The Last Flight', which centres on American aviation pioneer Amelia Earhart, the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean. They followed it with 'Night Flight – The Last Flight Remixes' last October.
