Bryan Adams Releases New Single The Ballad of Terry Fox

Bryan Adams has released a new single called The Ballad of Terry Fox.
Inspired by the life of the Canadian athlete and activist, the upbeat acoustic guitar-driven song reflects on his famous Marathon of Hope, when he ran across Canada to raise money for cancer research. His journey became a powerful story of courage and determination, inspiring millions of people around the world and continues to do so.
The song arrives alongside a video directed by acclaimed filmmaker Sean Menard, who also helms the upcoming documentary Run Terry Run, which offers a behind-the-scenes look at Fox's historic run. The track also features in the film. Adams said:
"I remember Terry’s run back in 1980 when I was on tour In Canada playing 200-capacity clubs. I was 20 years old and I think Terry was a year older than me.
"When he stopped near Thunder Bay on September 1, I had just played in Ottawa, and his run was all over the news. Without knowing it, Terry gave our country a ‘something' and ‘someone' that everyone could agree on and unite behind.
"I’m extremely proud to be part of Sean Menard’s film and especially proud of Terry and his legacy."
The Grammy-winning Canadian rocker is currently touring Canada with the latest leg of his Roll With The Punches Tour and performs in Hamilton, Ontario tomorrow night (August 28). He'll return to Europe for shows this autumn and winter, as well as in May 2027, following dates across Australia and New Zealand early next year with special guest Natalie Imbruglia. Tickets are on sale now.
The tour takes its name from Adams' latest album, which arrived in August last year, followed by a deluxe edition in December. The box set version includes a 10-track bonus disc titled 'Tough Town'. Last month, he celebrated Canada Day (July 1) with the release of the standalone single 51st State.
