Stereophonics To Release DVD Documentary

Monday, 03 July 2006 Written by Stereoboard.com
ImageStereophonics are set to release a new DVD this winter which chronicles the history of the band to the present day.

Danny O'Connor, who also worked with the band by writing their official biography 'Just Enough Evidence To Print' in 2001, will produce the documentary film.

Bassist Richard Jones said: "A good friend of ours and a experienced documentary maker, Danny O'Connor has been putting the finishing touches to the story of Stereophonics up to now, what a trip down memory lane that has been."

"Kelly and myself have popped in while the editing has been going on and have found ourselves laughing our balls off to some of the things on there. Now trying to fit a story which dates back to the big hair days into an hour and a half has been very taxing indeed (and probably one of the reasons it's taken so long), but somehow it's been done and done very well. Hats off to all involved!!"

"Hopefully that'll be out sometime in the not so distant future (probably when the nights get darker and the days get colder). It's guranteed to put a smile on your face!"

Meanwhile Stereophonics have also been working on their forthcoming new album, which is expected for release next year.

Richard confirmed the band will return to the studio this month to start the recording of the follow up to 2005's 'Language. Sex. Violence. Other', he said "we are going back into the studio next month to demo some new tracks which came out of our rehearsals in the last few months. Booked into a quiet little hideaway for 10 days at the end of July, we should resurface with the next bunch of songs for the 6th album which will be released when it's finished.".
