The Black Spiders Reveal New Single And UK Tour Set For Spring

Dirty groovers from the steel city of Sheffield, The Black Spiders, have revealed that they have both an EP and a UK headline tour in the offing.

The band has announced that they are to release their superbly titled new single ‘There’s No Goats In The Omen’ “soon” – but so far the release date is unknown. It is expected that the release of the new epic slice of rock ‘n’ roll goodness will coincide with the band’s new spring headline tour which kicks off in Dundee on April 19th.

Black Spiders originally formed to celebrate the passing of a dear friend with the additional aim to tear up some classic rock ‘n’ roll songs in his honor. They are currently on a stint around the UK as main support to Aussie rockers Airbourne.

So what kind of person would enjoy the Black Spiders then? The band say that: “If you’re one of those people who like: a) the first three Black Sabbath albums, b) masturbating in church, or c) masturbating in church with Black Sabbath on your ipod, then you’re going to go absolutely fucknuts for The Black Spiders.”

A four-piece UK punk ‘n’ roll outlaw band have been described as having a sound which matches “Black Sabbath eating Guns N Roses for breakfast”.

I couldn’t have put that better myself!

The Black Spiders will play the following UK dates:

April 2010

19th Dexters Bar, Dundee
20th The Tunnels, Aberdeen
21st Cathouse, Glasgow
23rd The Duchess, York
24th Fusion, Sheffield
26th The Slade Rooms, Wolverhampton
27th Sumo, Leicester
28th Clwb Ifor Bach, Cardiff

May 2010

2nd The Bullingdon, Oxford
5th The Engine Room, Brighton
8th Talking Heads, Southampton
