Green Jelly Tickets, Tour Dates & Concerts 2024/2025 ♫Last Updated: 25 Sep 2015 12:20pm
Green Jelly (pronounced ‘green jello’) is a comedy metal band, from New York, USA.
Formed in 1981, as Green Jello, by Bill Manspeaker, who wanted to form ‘the worst band in the world’. The band’s musical abilities were limited, with the bass player having to colour code frets, but surpassed at onstage theatrics. The band developed a reputation for messy gigs, with fans turning up to shows with bags of jelly and whipped cream, to throw at the band. They also started making costumes for characters that the band would wear on stage. The band has had several different line-ups over the years, but always with Manspeaker. You can catch them playing live in the UK in November 2015. The event you clicked on is no longer available or expired. Please see the current listings below.
