Jarren Benton is a rapper from Georgia. Starting his career, he signed to Hopsin's independent record label Funk Volume in 2012 and released a mixtape called 'Freebasing with Kevin Bacon' in June 2012.
His debut studio album 'My Grandma's Basement' dropped in 2013, receiving positive critical reviews and hitting 152 on the Billboard 200. After the Funk Volume split up, Benton was between labels to release 'Slow Motion Vol 2' and 'The Mink Caat Killa LP' in 2016 and 17, until 2018 when he was signed to ROC Nation, founded by Jay-Z in 2008.
