Palma Violets are an English indie rock band hailing from London. Formed in 2011, the band is fronted by Samuel Fryer and Chilli Jesson - who both sing, and play guitar and bass respectively - as well as keyboard-player Jeffrey Peter Mayhew and drummer William Martin Doyle.
Signed to Rough Trade Records, they're one of the UK's best new bands (they were nominated for the BBC Sound of 2013), and mananged to climb to #11 with debut album '180'. NME are particularly fond of them - as well as voting them Best New Band, they were invited on the NME Awards Tour 2013 alongside Miles Kane and Django Django. Following a tour in August 2014, Palma Violets played two intimate shows later in January 2015, as part of Independent Venue Week, before lining-up for the NME Awards Tour.
