Blood Red Shoes are an alternative rock duo hailing from Brighton. Consisting of singer and guitarist Laura-Mary Carter and drummer Steve Ansell, they officially formed in 2004, and have released four studio albums since.
Created after Carter and Ansell’s previous bands split up, a quick jam soon made them realise they both had a talent together, and inspired by early US punk, Blood Red Shoes was born.
Early singles got them off the mark but it was truly their dedication to performing live which helped them earn their reputation, boasting over 300 gigs in two years - something which led to their deal with V2 Records.
Releasing first album ‘Box of Secrets’ in 2008, they’ve gone on to put out LPs ‘Fire Like This’ and later ‘In Time to Voices’, which peaked at #61 in the UK charts. In 2014, they returned with a self-titled fourth record, which saw a release via new home Jazz Life.
Their new album, 'Get Tragic' is due for release in January 2019, and will be supported with live dates around the UK, after two very intimate December shows in London and Manchester. Catch them live by checking out the tour dates and concert ticket information below on Stereoboard.
