The Midnight are an American synthwave band made up of singer-songwriter Tyler Lyle and Danish-born producer, songwriter and singer Tim McEwan, who met at a writing workshop in 2012.
Inspired in part by the movie score for Drive and the retro synth genre growing around its release, the pair wrote the singles WeMoveForward and Gloria that would be released two years later in 2014 as part of their debut EP, 'Days of Thunder'. They put out their debut album, 'Endless Summer', in 2016, which they followed up with 'Nocturnal' in 2017, 'Kids' in 2018, 2020's 'Monsters', and their latest LP, 2022's 'Heroes'. The Midnight have announced four UK shows for March 2023 as part of the European leg of the Change Your Heart Tour.
