On This Day In Music: Farewell Starman

On January 10, 2016 David Bowie died aged 69 following an 18 month battle with cancer. The legendary British artist and musician passed away just two days after his 69th birthday and release of his 25th studio album, ‘Blackstar’.

Bowie had a career spanning four decades and was known for his innovative music and style, in particular his androgynous alter ego Ziggy Stardust. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996 and enjoyed an illustrious career right up until his death.

Two days ago, on what would have been the legendary British artist’s 71st birthday, a previously unreleased demo of his song Let’s Dance was shared. Listen to it above.
