On This Day In Music: David Bowie Receives Star On Hollywood Walk Of Fame

On February 12, 1997 David Bowie was inducted to the Hollywood Walk Of Fame.

Bowie sadly passed away on January 10 last year, just days after he celebrated his 69th birthday and released his 25th studio album, ‘Blackstar’.

Bowie had a career spanning four decades and was known for his innovative music and style, in particular his androgynous alter ego Ziggy Stardust. He enjoyed an illustrious career right up until his death.
